November 4.2013

I am being transferred! And i don't know where to! Also I am training a new missionary! It's all so surreal. I really don't want to leave Steamboat but sadly my time and season here has ended. We got the call from president Thursday night and I really haven't focused on much since. I hate goodbyes so I tried to just suppress the fact that I was leaving. But Sister Muhme let the cat out of the bag (that was for you Chloe in honour of national cat day last tuesday) on Sunday during testimony meeting and I feel like once something's been said over the pulpit it's pretty much a done deal. I got some good pictures out of the fact that I am leaving though so be excited.
The biggest change I have seen in myself over the past 12 weeks is my ability to love and care. I used to think showing emotion meant I was weak. But it really just means I'm human! I love the people here so much and I am so excited to return! Fred told me I can come back and stay at his house any time I want, even if I have 6 kids haha. On Sunday we got to hear some good stories from Fred. Growing up he had a pet seal, beaver, and skunk. What a guy!
I felt guilty about all the things I could've done to help the area but didn't. I prayed and I know the Lord accepted what I did accomplish here with His help, although I may feel like I didn't do much.
On Saturday we drove to Grand Junction for a training meeting. I just really love President and Sister Murdock. I learn so much from them. I have been entrusted with a really sacred responsibility because the habits my new missionary makes in her first couple transfers will set the tone for her entire mission. I am praying that I can set her up for success!
This week was slower than most. Sister Tew was sick and needed to recover so I got some time to really ponder about the missionary I am right now and the missionary the Lord wants me to be. I have a lot of things to work on!
I don't have a lot of time as I have to go pack and get ready for all the crazy that is coming my way this week.
